Sex Offenders Point of View: Nobody Listens
We all know what we think of sex offenders but have ever asked what they think of themselves? We try to find a cure for pedophilia as if it's that simple. There are many reason why some people never get help or cured . The main reason is that they feel alone with their problem and feel that no one wants to listen or cares. Which is why some stay in the dark about their issue and stay depressed and isolated. We tend to forget that we are all human and that we all make mistakes. Some mistakes worse than others but everyone deserves a second chance. If we tried to reach out to more offenders there would be so many to worry about. If judgement was set aside these offenders would get the help they need and not have to hide their problem. Not all offenders embrace or like the feelings they have towards small children. There are many that would like to get rid of those feelings all together. Even if they can't be cured they need someone to help through their problems just like everyone else.

Is There Really A Cure ?
There really isn't a cure for pedophilia some think its even a sexual orientation. We are so hard on these offenders which we have right to be; but have we stopped to think about why they do it? Some offenders truly want help with their problem but are too afraid to ask for it. After all why wouldn't they be we basically nail them to the cross for it. Not every pedophile acts on their urges and we must remember not all pedophiles rape mass numbers of children. Some never even act on it all and are sick with themselves for having this interest in children.
Some would never even dream of abusing a child even though they are a pedophile. If we took the time to reach and help, than many pedophiles would maybe get rid of the urges/and or remove their fixations with young children. It is also pretty sad for the pedophiles who have been convicted for the offence and have turned their lives around. People will always see them as a pedophile and they will always be judged for it. That is one of the main problems in society; everyone makes mistakes but yet we are always judged for it.

Dealing With Pedophiles in Other Countries
In places like Morocco, offenders get off easy creating outrage for Spanish citizens.
There was case of an offender named Daniel Fino Galvan who was pardoned by the king after only serving a year and a half of a 30 year sentence for raping 11 children. The Moroccan public began protesting until the king revoked the pardon and Glavan was arrested once again. The king claimed he was not aware of Galvan's offences creating even more outrage. Who wants a ruler who has no regard for looking into what these offenders have done before releasing them?
In Santo Domingo this year the Immigration Agency returned 20 confirmed pedophiles who tried to enter the Dominican territory from the U.S. and other countries. This began going into effect after many countries started to exchange information criminals.
How Do We View Pedophiles in Canada?
In Canada we see pedophiles as monsters and sick people that need to be kept away from our children. Child abuse is not a fun topic to discuss but it must be addressed. Statistics say that children tell 10 adults on average about abuse before someone even believes them. Children are smarter than we perceive them to be and they know when something is wrong. It is crucial that you listen to their cry for help if they come to you. There are now many useful resources that you can go to when dealing with a matter of child abuse.
This is a crime of rates are increasing so please listen to your children when they tell you something is wrong. A most recent Stats Canada crime report found that child porn has increased to 36% in one year,
and all aggravated sexual assaults have increased by 56%. In Ontario alone, 10,000
cases have been investigated since 2006 and more than 3,600 charges have been
laid against 1,219 people for internet sex crimes.
There are now ways of seeing convicted offenders in your area with pictures identifying who they are. In my opinion this acts as a sense of security and gives parents peace of mind.

Although we are harsh on the offenders is there more ways to stop these offenders from acting again? Some people believe we are not doing enough? In the link below are stories where and cases where offenders believe Canada is a great place to be a pedophile.
